own a piece of American history! this coat is made by Union Label, or the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union (ILGWU). garments produced under this label were made under conditions beneficial to the worker (ie fair labor practices), which was a huge deal for women in the 50s and 60s. even Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt and Mrs. Mary Rockefeller sewed garments under the Union Label!
